AN UNDERSTATED DOMINANCE (DUSTIN RHYS)
Chapter 2481
"Phoenix Soaring!" Under immense pressure, Emeret used every ounce of his strength. His internal energy surged like a tidal wave, and he channeled it into his silver sword. It flared with a sharp glow that was nearly blinding.
Then, he leaped into the air. He merged with his sword and transformed into a massive Sacred Phoenix. With a mighty cry, the phoenix flew toward the golden sword descending from above.
The silver phoenix, gleaming from head to tail, flapped its wings and unleashed a wind storm. Its power was overwhelming, and it seemed like it could break through the clouds and soar into the sky. After a brief pause in midair, it turned toward the golden sword.
Another loud boom resounded as the earth trembled and energy surged in every direction. The entire battle ring rumbled while the protective barrier rippled like waves. It shook violently as if it were on the verge of collapse. At the center of the explosion, the golden sword collided with the Phoenix's beak. The sword pressed down with a crushing force and relentlessly drove the Sacred Phoenix toward the ground.

With another thunderous crash, the phoenix buckled under the weight and slammed into the battle ring. Dust and debris filled the air, and the ground shook violently as huge cracks splintered across the ring like jagged scars.
When the dust settled, the scene in the battle ring left everyone speechless. The battle ring, spanning about 100 yards, was now filled with cracks that resembled a giant spider web from above.
In the center lay a gaping pit roughly 30 feet wide. Emeret was half-kneeling in that pit as he gasped for breath. His clothes were torn, his hair disheveled, and his face was covered with dust, with blood dripping from his hands. His overall appearance made him look particularly disheveled.
The once-glimmering silver sword was now broken in half and had lost its brilliance. He used the broken sword to prop himself up and struggled to stay upright.
But after a few ragged breaths, Emeret couldn't hold back anymore. He coughed up a mouthful of blood, his face as pale as paper and his strength completely drained.
In contrast, Glenn's expression remained icy and detached. He hadn't moved an inch since the match began. Emeret had lost, and it was a devastating defeat. When Glenn drew his sword, he finally grasped the true extent of the gap between them.
There were no flashy moves or elaborate techniques. Instead, it was just a downward strike that nearly cost him his life. Emeret would already be dead if it hadn't been for the surge of power that allowed him to unleash Phoenix Soaring, which absorbed most of the strike's force.
Before stepping into the ring, he was confident and believed his advanced sword skills would allow him to stand toe-to-toe with Glenn.
Now, he realized that against absolute power, any technique was meaningless. If he couldn't even block one strike from Glenn, what right did he have to challenge him? "Oh my gosh! Is this really the strength of the number one on the Legendary List? It's so terrifying!" "They're both disciples of the Sword Union, and Emeret joined the guild a. few years before Glenn. Yet, he couldn't even withstand a single strike from Glenn's sword. It's unbelievable!" "Based on what I'm seeing, there's no doubt that Glenn is going to take the champion title in this Combat Tournament!" As the spectators gazed at the imposing figure of Glenn in the battle ring, they couldn't help but whisper among themselves.
Emeret wasn't weak. He had fought his way through every match to reach the top eight. This proved he was among the best of his generation.
Follow on sunniworlds.blogspot.com
Yet, someone of his caliber couldn't block a single strike from Glenn. This stark reality showcased Glenn's incredible strength. The gap in power between them was staggering. No one in the entire venue had exhibited such overwhelming dominance as Glenn.
"What kind of monster is that guy? He defeated his senior with a single strike. He is so ruthless!" Aurora frowned as conflicting emotions swirled within her.
She had always believed that Fenley would easily win the tournament after his breakthrough. However, Glenn's performance had shaken her confidence.
"He truly deserves the top spot on the Legendary List. He's beyond extraordinary." Alicia felt a wave of unease. Her understanding of Glenn had been based on rumors, and she hadn't gained a deep knowledge of his abilities.
His opponents weren't that strong in previous matches, and even when he won, he hadn't displayed much m destructive power power. But that last strike made her realize how deserving he was of the number one spot on the Legendary List. "He's definitely a tough opponent." Fenley narrowed his eyes, and his expression turned serious.
Before his breakthrough, he believed he was slightly weaker than Glenn, After the breakthrough, he had been confident that he could defeat him. But now, uncertainty gnawed at him.
It wasn't just the power of that one strike but also how effortlessly Glenn had won that match Fenley couldn't n even tell if Glenn had used his full strength. That uncertainty was the most terrifying part.
AN UNDERSTATED DOMINANCE (DUSTIN RHYS)
Chapter 2482
"I lost." Emeret lowered his head and struggled to utter those words.
Though reluctant, he had to admit the gap between him and Glenn was too wide to ignore. Continuing the fight wouldn't just mean defeat, but he might end up losing his life for nothing.
"You did well to withstand my strikes and still be standing," Glenn remarked coldly before leaving the battle ring. Emeret's skills were decent, but they barely piqued his interest.
"Congratulations to contestant number two, Glenn Hadley, for his victory." Oron quickly announced the results.
In an instant, the spectators erupted into thunderous applause. Though the match was brief, the explosive clash had captivated everyone, especially Glenn's overwhelming strength, which left a lasting impression in their minds.
If he didn't draw his sword, things would have been fine. But the impact was nothing short of earth-shattering and unmatched once he drew it.
"What a pity." Alloy shook his head in mock disappointment from the main spectator seat.
Follow on sunniworlds.blogspot.com
It would have been ideal if Glenn's strike had killed Emeret earlier. The Sword Union would lose a genius, which could spark internal conflicts. That was precisely the chaos the Celestial Alliance would love to see.
"Mr. Marshall, my disciple isn't dead. But you seem rather disappointed." Cyrus looked at him coldly.
"Mr. Hadley, you seem to misunderstand. I was just reminded of something sad," Alloy replied with a smile that didn't reach his eyes.
"Really?" Cyrus sneered. "Well, I think you might feel even more sorrow soon." "Oh? What do you mean?" Alloy raised an eyebrow.
"Soon, you'll know the pain of losing a disciple." A cold gleam shone in Cyrus's eyes.
"Let's not count our losses or victories too soon, Mr. Hadley." Alloy sneered.
"Let's see how this plays out," Cyrus smirked.
He had unwavering confidence in Glenn. If Fenley faced Glenn, he might not be killed immediately, but he could very well end up crippled. It would dampen the spirit of the Celestial Alliance if that happened.
After the second match ended, it was tfor a break. However, there wouldn't be any intermission performances this tbecause the battle ring was badly damaged.
In the center was a deep pit, surrounded by massive cracks that spread like a spider web. From a distance, it seemed almost impossible to find an intact spot, which was quite frightening.
Even though the arena was made of specially reinforced materials and could be repaired, it still required time. About an hour later, the repairs were complete. Once the materials fused and solidified, the ring looked brand new without signs of the previous destruction.
Though this was the first tSacred Wrym Summit hosted the Combat Tournament, it was clear they had made thorough preparations.
"Sorry to keep everyone waiting." After a brief pause, Oron stepped onto the battle ring.
He continued, “Next up is the third match. I'm sure everyone has been looking forward to this. Please welccontestant number three, Abigail Robinson, and contestant number six, Zane Soren, to the ring." 1 As soon as he finished speaking, the spectators erupted into enthusiastic applause.
Abigail needed no introduction. As the Grand Sorceress of the Mystic Arts Order, she ranked second on the Legendary List. She had already demonstrated her formidable strength in her previous match against George.
As the only woman to reach the top eight, she was even more popular than Dalen. Besides the Legendary List, she also made her mark on the Beauty Ranking with her stunning looks. Though she ranked slightly below Alicia, she was still an exceptional beauty.
Follow on sunniworlds.blogspot.com
With her impressive strength and stunning looks, it wasn't surprising that men were captivated by her. Even many of the female spectators had becher ardent fans.
In contrast, Zane from the Embraco Order had a solid reputation. He cfrom a prestigious guild and had performed well in previous matches. However, he paled in comparison to Abigail's strength and popularity.
As they stepped onto the battle ring, there was no idle chatter. After exchanging a brief salute, the fight began immediately.
Abigail was a master of voodoo skills, and her strength was just as formidable. On the contrary, Zane excelled in spells and enhanced his techniques with impressive sword skills.
If it were purely a battle of spells, the Embraco Order might have an edge over the Mystic Arts Order. However, such advantages only applied when both sides were evenly matched in strength.
The gap between Abigail and Zane was anything but minor. One was an ultimate grandmaster, While the other was merely a grandmaster. Such a disparity in levels couldn't be bridged by spells alone. Even without using spells, her cultivation was sufficient to overpower him effortlessly. As a result, there was no suspense in this match.
Zane gave it his all but still couldn't land a blow on Abigail. When she began her counterattack, it took her only three moves to defeat him. This outcdidn't cas a surprise.
Taking on a top elite from the Legendary List posed a tremendous challenge for an ordinary expert. This was especially true when facing someone like Abigail, who ranked third on the list.
From the moment the two were chosen to face each other, it was clear this match held no suspense.
After the third match concluded, it was tfor the fourth and final match in the quarterfinals. The matchups didn't need to be m announced. Everyone knew who was set to face off because only Dustin and Caleb had yet to fight.
AN UNDERSTATED DOMINANCE (DUSTIN RHYS)
Chapter 2483
"For the fourth match, let's welccontestant number four, Caleb Foyer, and contestant number five, Dustin Rhys." As Oron's voice boomed, the crowd erupted into thunderous applause.
Under everyone's watchful eyes, Dustin and Caleb stepped onto the battle ring. This last quarterfinal match was shrouded in suspense. Both contestants had emerged as underdogs in the tournament.
Caleb had gained instant fafter defeating Sam, who ranked ninth on the Legendary List. In contrast, Dustin took down two powerful foreign contestants in succession, which showcased his remarkable strength. Hence, everyone eagerly anticipated their showdown.
"Who do you think will win this match? "It should be Caleb, right? He's a chosen apprentice of Sacred Wrym Summit. After all, he has mastered the Glow Incantation, Stormcraft, and Divine Talismans. Even Sam, with the sacred weapon of the Dawson Clan, couldn't defeat him. That shows just how powerful Caleb is." "Not so fast! I think Dustin is someone to watch out for. He's like a hidden gem and knows a bit of everything. I still can't tell what he's capable of." "Well, it won't take long to find out who's who when the match begins." As they watched Caleb and Dustin take their positions, the spectators were buzzing with conversation.
Scheered for Caleb, while others rallied behind Dustin. Each group tried to sway the other and was unwilling to concede their beliefs. With their strong performances earlier, predicting the outcbefore they clashed was impossible.
"I'm Caleb Foyer from Sacred Wyrm Summit," Caleb greeted with a respectful nod.
"I'm Dustin Rhys," Dustin replied politely.
Follow on sunniworlds.blogspot.com
"You should know the rules, then I won't say much. If there are no objections, the match begins now." After dropping that line, Oron quickly jumped off the battle ring and activated the protective barrier.
Before the quarterfinals, the matches inflicted minimal damage, so the protective barrier was seldom activated. But with the risk of massive destruction in every fight now, the barrier had becessential.
Oron understood he had to remain vigilant in case the barrier began to fail. If that happened, he would have to intervene to stabilize it, which was a demanding job.
"When I first saw you a few days ago, I knew you were special. But I never expected we would actually meet on the battle ring," Caleb said with a smile.
Sacred Wyrm Summit had been tasked with capturing an assassin, but Dustin had beaten him to it. Caleb had also expressed his anticipation for a showdown in the battle ring, and it turned out his words had ctrue.
"Well, I suppose you could say fate brought us together again," Dustin replied with a smile.
"Whatever it is, we need to determine a winner today. Please go ahead,” Caleb said and gestured with one hand. "Then, I won't hold back." As soon as the words left his mouth, Dustin sprang into action. With a quick flick of his hand, three silver needles shot out. Two were aimed at Caleb's eyes, while the third went straight for his throat.
A low hum filled the air as a golden light erupted around Caleb's body.
The three silver needles hit the golden light and bounced away. They created only a few ripples without causing any damage. The Glow Incantation from Sacred Wrym Summit was not something ordinary hidden weapons could break.
Of course, Dustin hadn't expected to land a killing blow. While shooting the three needles, he closed the distance to Caleb. His fist, charged with internal energy, ccrashing down.
Caleb didn't dodge or use his Divine Talisman. Instead, he threw a punch to meet Dustin's. The two fists collided and unleashed a powerful shockwave.
The ground beneath Dustin's feet cracked, but he didn't budge an inch. On the contrary, Caleb retreated several steps, and the golden light flickered around him.
"Hmm?" Caleb frowned in surprise.
With the Glow Incantation enhancing his body, he should have had the upper hand in raw power. However, Dustin's overwhelming strength left him struggling in their initial exchange.
Before Caleb could react, Dustin launched another assault. He closed in like a shadow, and his fists cdown like a torrential downpour as he unleashed a rapid-fire barrage of strikes. His speed was so fast that the spectators could only catch glimpses of his afterimages.
Caleb defended himself while retreating. Even with the Glow Incantation, his arms were numb from the relentless assault. He knew he was outmatched in strength. If this continued, he would end up at a disadvantage.
Follow on sunniworlds.blogspot.com
"Stormcraft!"
Realizing he couldn't hold out much longer, Caleb decided to go all in His fingers crackled with blue lightning, and he tapped on Dustin's incoming fist. A loud crack echoed through the arena as arcs of lightning flashed.
Dustin jolted as electricity coursed through him, forcing him to retreat several steps. His relentless assault cto an abrupt halt.
"Interesting." He glanced at the flickering lightning still crackling around his fist and raised an eyebrow in surprise.
It was his first tfeeling the direct impact of mysterious Stormcraft. He finally understood why Sacred Wyrm Summit dominated the martial world.
Stormcraft was a technique that could altogether bypass defenses. It m inflicted damage not just on the body but also on the soul. No one could rely on brute strength to withstand its effects.
If mastered to its fullest, it could om make a person unstoppable. Combined with the Glow Incantation and the Divine Talisman, it formed a lethal arsenal. "Now it's my turn." Seeing Dustin momentarily stunned by the lightning, Caleb seized the opportunity.
Sparks of lightning flickered at his fingertips as he thrust forward. A blue serpent of electricity shot out that aimed straight for Dustin's chest.

Chapter 2484
Dustin didn't flinch as the electric serpent charged toward him. Instead, he channeled his mystical energy into a spear and thrust forward. He was eager to test the strength of Stormcraft.
The true energy spear collided with the Stormcraft and unleashed a loud crack of thunder. Energy rippled outward and dispersed in every direction. Their energies collided with such force that neither gained the upper hand.
Neither Dustin nor Caleb gained the upper hand in this exchange, yet neither backed down. They continued to trade blows in a fierce, close-quarters fight. Each strike resonated like a drumbeat in a relentless battle.
"I can't believe Dustin is holding his own against Caleb. This is unbelievable.
"Dustin is pretty strong, so it's not surprising he can fight like this." "You don't get it. Dustin is renowned for his lethal sword techniques. Yet, he's standing firm against Caleb, who used Glow Incantation and Stormcraft, just with his fists. That speaks volumes about his cultivation." "If Caleb wants to win, he'll have to use a Divine Talisman. But that technique is risky as it could hurt both of them." As the spectators watched the two clash in the battle ring, they couldn't help but murmur among themselves. Everyone knew that neither Dustin nor Caleb had yet to use their killing moves.
Though the fight was intense, neither opponent would claim victory anytsoon unless they used their trump cards or tried to wear each other out.

"The young man named Dustin Rhys is quite impressive, but I've never heard of him before." Kaden narrowed his eyes.
He focused intently on Dustin as he tried to discern the source of his abilities. But Dustin's techniques were so diverse that he couldn't identify any distinct lineage or guild teachings.
"The world is big, and extraordinary geniuses are bound to emerge. I've looked into him, and his background is shrouded in mystery. Whoever is behind him is no small player," Alloy remarked meaningfully.
With the intelligence network of the Celestial Alliance at their disposal, digging up dirt on someone should be easy. But after two days of investigation, the information on Dustin was scarce, and many critical details had been deliberately hidden.
This only confirmed that a powerful force was behind him. Given that only a significant force could slip past the Celestial Alliance's watchful eyes, it was likely that this influence was connected to royalty.
"I wonder which renowned mentor trained him?” Kaden pondered.
"He has used a sword before," Cyrus suddenly chimed in.
"So what? There are plenty of sword users in this battle ring. What does that prove?" Alloy shot him a sideways glance.
Cyrus's following words caught everyone off guard. "With just that one strike, I could feel Seth's presence in his energy." Alloy's eyes widened in surprise. "Seth Hughes? The Sword Whisperer? But... he's dead, right?" The fight between Seth and Alaric outside Oakvale was nothing less than legendary. When it was over, the entire Dragon Guard lay in ruins. After they died, there was a major upheaval in the Champ-Tier List.
Even after a year, the aftermath of that fight still looms large. So, when Alloy heard Seth's name, surprise washed over him.
After all, Seth had single-handedly destroyed the Dragon Guard with a single sword strike. That legendary blow was said to rival the power of terrestrial immortals.
"Seth is dead, but that doesn't mean there aren't any successors," Cyrus said coldly. “I've studied swordsmanship for years, and I believe my understanding rivals anyone's. So, I'm certain Dustin is connected to Seth.
"Are you saying that Dustin could be Seth's disciple?" Kaden quickly caught on.
"I'm about 90% sure," Cyrus nodded.
Follow on sunniworlds.blogspot.com
He had faced Seth before and was well- acquainted with his sword energy. But yesterday, he sensed the senergy. from Dustin. Though it wasn't as powerful as Seth's, it was still formidable.
"I didn't realize Seth had accepted such a disciple. At least his swordsmanship didn't die with him. Otherwise, it would've been a real shif it had." Alloy sighed.
He didn't doubt Cyrus' words. After all, there wasn't a soul in the world who understood the way of the sword better than him.
"Sage Foyer, please forgive my bluntness. If Dustin uses his sword, your disciple doesn't stand much chance. The best move right now is to use a Divine talisman to suppress him before he draws his weapon," Cyrus advised.
If Dustin had mastered Seth's sword techniques, it would spell trouble for Glenn. Cyrus believed it would be best if Caleb could defeat Dustin.
"The outcof the match isn't something we can control. We'll just have to see how they perform." M Kaden smited faintly and didn't seem concerned. While he hoped for Caleb's victory, he wasn't overly invested in the outcome. He believed in letting fate take its course. "What's wrong, Mr. Hadley? Are you scared?" Alloy teased with a knowing smile. "I see you're wary because Dustin is Seth's disciple." "What do you mean by that?" Cyrus glared at him.
"I remember you sparred with Seth before, but it didn't end well for you. It's natural to feel strepidation upon meeting his successor," Alloy said with a knowing smile.
He continued, "Both of you specialize in sword technique. If your disciple If your were to lose to Seth's, that would certainly reflect poorly on you. I understand your concern." "Hmph! Enough with the sarcasm!" Cyrus snorted. "So what if he is Seth's disciple? When facing Glenn, the only outche'll see is defeat!" Then, he changed the subject. "And it's not just him. Even your disciple, Fenley, won't stand a chance against Glenn. If you doubt it, let's just wait and see."
AN UNDERSTATED DOMINANCE (DUSTIN RHYS)
Chapter 2485
"Really? Since you're so confident, I'll be watching closely," Alloy replied with a smile that didn't reach his eyes. The chance to mess with Cyrus was too good to pass up.
When Cyrus had sparred with Seth, he had been defeated by just one move. Since that day, he had lived in Seth's shadow.
In other words, Seth had becthe inner demon that Cyrus could never shake off-a haunting reminder of his limits.
As the tension brewed between Alloy and Cyrus in the stands, the situation in the battle ring had changed.
Caleb was engaged in an extended battle, and the strain on his internal energy had reached a critical point. He needed to maintain his Glow Incantation while using Stormcraft for his attacks. This combination led to a rapid depletion of his energy.
In contrast, Dustin focused primarily on close-range combat. He relied on his agility and brute strength to unleash punches and kicks while creating openings. Additionally, he only used his internal energy to counter Caleb's Stormcraft.
If Caleb didn't change his approach soon, he knew defeat was just a heartbeat away.
"This can't go on. I have to end this now," he thought.
Follow on sunniworlds.blogspot.com
Aware that his internal energy was running low, he gritted his teeth and resolved to unleash his ultimate move.
"Stormcraft!" Caleb formed a hand seal with one hand. With a swift thrust, a burst of lightning shot forward and expanded like a massiveto ensnare Dustin.
While unleashing Stormcraft, he swiftly flicked his other hand. A yellow talisman shot out and hovered above Dustin's head.
"Summit Shift!" As Caleb raised his hand and formed a seal, the talisman erupted in a blinding burst of lightning.
An illusion of a massive mountain materialized from thin air, overshadowing everything around it with its sheer presence. Beneath this enormous mountain, Dustin looked as small as an ant.
Caleb executed his two moves with precision. First, he unleashed Stormcraft to create an opening that diverted Dustin's attention while achieving his tactical goal. Then, he prepared the Summit Shift talisman as a follow-up strike to crush Dustin.
Once that talisman activated, Dustin would feel as if a mountain were bearing down on him. He would be rendered immobile or at risk of being crushed to death. This lethal combination left no room for a counterattack.
A muffled blast echoed as Dustin channeled his true energy to disperse the burst of lightning. However, the illusion of the mountain above descended upon him with crushing force.
He felt his body grow heavy under the immense pressure. The battle ring surface buckled under his feet, and deep cracks spread outward.
If a grandmaster martial artist had been subjected to the weight of that mountain, they would surely be crushed or gravely injured.
"So, this is the legendary Divine Talisman. Its power is terrifying," Dustin thought. He was astonished by the crushing force pressing on him.
Among the three suprskills of Sacred Wyrm Summit, the Divine Talisman was the hardest to master and the most formidable in power.
There were many types of Divine Talismans, and the Summit Shift talisman was just one of them. So, it wasn't a surprise that Sacred Wyrm Summit could uphold its reputation as a leader in the martial world for so many years.
"Got him!" Seeing Dustin immobilized, Caleb's face lit up with relief. Dustin had been a real challenge, and without the Divine Talisman, Caleb wouldn't have been able to suppress him.
"That's an impressive use of the Summit Shift talisman. It definitely lives up to the hype." "Dustin forced Caleb to unleash his signature technique from Sacred Wyrm Summit. He may have lost, but he's definitely earned my respect." "You bet! This match was intense. Caleb might not have won if it weren't for the Divine Talisman determining the outcome." With the outcseemingly decided, the spectators erupted into lively chatter.
Caleb's supporters were especially thrilled as they shouted their praises with enthusiasm. After all, they had wagered on him, and a victory would mean a substantial payout for them.
"Sage Foyer, your disciple is quite smart. He understands the importance of a swift resolution. If Dustin draws his sword, who knows how this will end?" Alloy said as he sipped his tea.
He had watched Dustin's previous match against Jeremiah closely and witnessed the terrifying power of that one sword strike. It was not something an ordinary grandmaster martial artist could withstand.
Follow on sunniworlds.blogspot.com
"Don't celebrate too soon. The fight isn't over yet. Seth's disciple doesn't go down that easily," Cyrus said coldly.
"What? Do you think he can still turn things around with the Summit Shift talisman holding him down?" an Alloy scoffed. He won't stand a chance unless he is at the ultimate grandmaster level."
He knew that breaking through to the ultimate grandmaster level required more than mere talent and that it e also needed a lot of resources. Even Fenley had only reached this breakthrough the previous day with the help of Advancil. Seth had been a solitary figure. Now that he had passed away, Alloy doubted that he could have ever gathered the resources to train his disciple to reach the ultimate grandmaster level.
"You'll know if you keep watching." Cyrus didn't say much, and his eyes locked onto the battle king. He understood that being suppressed by the Summit Shift talisman didn't ensure Dustin's defeat. "It's tto end this!" On the battle ring, Caleb finally allowed himself a breath of relief. He pulled out a blue talisman and threw it forward.
"Soul Bind!" The talisman transformed into a beam of blue light and shot toward Dustin's forehead.
This Soul-Bind talisman could trap the opponent's soul and put them into an endless slumber as long as it remained intact. Its effect could only be broken if the talisman was torn.
But just as the talisman was about to touch Dustin's forehead, a black sword suddenly plummeted from above. It moved at a blinding speed and pierced the talisman.
In an explosive flash, the Soul-Bind talisman disintegrated and scattered into a flurry of shimmering blue sparks.

Chapter 2486
"What?" As Caleb stared at the disintegrated Soul - Bind talisman, his expression changed tically. He hadn't expected that a sword descending from. the sky would disrupt his plan at such a critical moment.
When did this sword appear? How had he failed to notice it? Before he could react, the black sword moved again.
With a soft hum, the black sword seemed to have a mind of its own as it turned in midair and struck the Summit Shift talisman at lightning speed. The talisman in the air exploded in a brilliant flash of yellow light and scattered into tiny sparks.
Dustin finally relaxed as the overwhelming pressure lifted. He slowly opened his palm, and the black sword circled him before landing precisely in his hand.
"No wonder they call it a legendary Divine Talisman. I've finally experienced its power firsthand today.". He gripped the sword with one hand and flashed a faint smile, but his expression turned serious.
Follow on sunniworlds.blogspot.com
While the Summit Shift talisman hadn't fully immobilized him, it had slowed his movements and reactions. As a result, he probably wouldn't be able to dodge the Soul-Bind talisman.
He had witnessed the power of the Soul -Bind talisman before. Despite his confidence in his abilities, he didn't dare take unnecessary risks. Hence, he had chosen to draw his sword. This decision marked his commitment to the fight.
"Yet, you still managed to counter it." Caleb shook his head. He set aside his usual nonchalance, and his expression grew somber.
Although Dustin wasn't exuding any intense energy at that moment, Caleb felt an overwhelming sense of danger. The pressure weighing down on him was unlike anything he had ever encountered.
He was calm and unshaken when he faced Sam and the Dawson Clan's thousand-talon coffer. But now, he felt an unexpected tension creeping in. It was like he wasn't facing a man but sprehistoric beast.
"I remember you have another ultimate move-the Eight Trigrams of the Divine Talisman, right?" Dustin raised his sword slowly. "Better use it now while you have the chance." There was a stark difference between fighting with a sword and without one.
He knew he couldn't counter the Glow Incantation with just punches and kicks in such a short time. But the Celestial Blade, one of the top-ten deadly weapons on the Divine Weapon List, had a natural advantage over this internal energy protective shield.
"In that case, I won't hold back." Caleb wasted no tand unleashed his ultimate move. He knew that Dustin was much stronger than Sam.
If he had allowed Dustin to strike first, he wouldn't have had tto use the Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman and any hope of turning the tables would have been lost. With Dustin granting him this opportunity, he couldn't afford to pass it up.
"Heaven, Earth, Gale, Thunderstorm, Abyss, Inferno, Peak, Torrent!" Caleb waved his hands repeatedly.
Eight brightly colored Divine Talismans shot into the air and spun rapidly. Dust and stones flew everywhere as the wind instantly picked up. A terrifying energy surged through the air and crackled with unrestrained force.
"Damn! It's the Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman again. Caleb is serious this time.” "Caleb previously defeated Sam, who ranked ninth on the Legendary List, using this move. Now that he's using it again, Dustin is in danger." "If this move takes him down, he'll have no regrets." The spectators pointed and whispered as they watched the eight talismans floating and spinning in the sky.
Follow on sunniworlds.blogspot.com
They had already witnessed the power of the Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman. Even Sam, who possessed the Dawson Clan's sacred weapon, couldn't withstand its might. So, what chance did the newly rising star, Dustin, have? Caleb and Dustin had previously been evenly matched on the battle ring. However, once Caleb used the Divine Talisman, the tide of battle began to turn decisively in his favor.
Now, when he unleashed the Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman, the match's outcwas no longer in doubt. "Sage Foyer, Mr. Marshall, Mr. Hadley, which do you think is more powerful- the Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman or Dustin's sword?" Penelope, who had been silent up until now, spoke suddenly. Her voice was low and grating. "The sword would certainly be superior in a surprise attack." Alloy narrowed his eyes and analyzed, "But unfortunately, Dustin has grown too arrogant and allowed Caleb to use his ultimate move. This negates any advantage his speed might have had."
"That's not arrogance but confidence," Cyrus replied calmly.
"Facing the grams of Divine Talisman with composure shows he has immense faith in his sword. It is a quality every great swordsman needs." "A true swordsman kills with one strike, right? Giving an opponent tto use their ultimate move is arrogance, "Alloy countered dismissively.
"You don't understand what it means to be a swordsman. Plus, you're clueless about the kong and pride bout that comes with it." Cyrus glanced at him disdainfully. "With your attitude, you'll probably hit a wall and never rise above this level." "Ha! I guess I just don't get what it means to be a swordsman since I'm not as good at playing the part as you are." Alloy smiled sarcastically.
The ideas of honor and pride seemed ridiculous to him. In the battle ring, victory was claimed by the one that was still standing. Any method was fair play as long as one could defeat their opponent. But giving the opponent a chance to turn the tide was foolish. "It's starting!" Just as Cyrus and Alloy were bickering, the situation on the battle ring changed again.
Caleb's Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman had finally gathered its full power, and its force surged with an even greater intensity than before.
AN UNDERSTATED DOMINANCE (DUSTIN RHYS)
Chapter 2487
As the Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman took shape, a massive trigram formation suddenly appeared at the center of the battle ring. It spanned across the ring, whirling and transforming with relentless speed.
At that moment, Dustin was standing. inside the enchantment circle. He suddenly felt overwhelmed by tremendous pressure.
Unlike the crushing force from the Summit Shift talisman that affected his body, this pressure cfrom his mind. He felt as if he were confined in a cage and unable to escape, regardless of how hard he struggled.
Unlike the explosion Caleb had used against Sam, the Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman now showcased its true power.
"You shouldn't have giventto prepare. Your arrogance is your downfall." Caleb let out a sigh of relief upon seeing the enchantment circle in place.
The Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman was powerful but required several seconds to cast-a timefrthat could be deadly against a skilled opponent.
During his fight with Sam yesterday, Caleb was forced to rely on an explosion due to dire circumstances. Hence, he only managed to unleash a fraction of the Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman's power.
With the completion of the enchantment circle, he could finally utilize the full power of the talisman.

"Are you ready? Then, I'll make my move." Dustin slowly raised his sword, and the tip pointed straight at Caleb. Caleb's eyelids twitched, and an unexpected surge of anxiety swept over him. Without hesitation, he formed a hand seal with both hands. “Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman! Seal!" With a thunderous roar, the massive trigram formation spun violently beneath his feet. Beams of golden light burst forth like chains and coiled around Dustin. In the blink of an eye, he was fully bound by the golden chains. "Restrain!" Caleb formed a hand seal again. The trigram formation on the battle ring stopped before spinning in reverse.
Suddenly, eight golden characters Heaven, Earth, Gale, Thunderstorm, Abyss, Inferno, Peak, and Torrent- hovered above and rotated at blinding speed. Then, a towering golden mountain materialized in midair and descended toward Dustin's head.
The battle ring trembled as the air crackled with a thunderous explosion, and an oppressive force enveloped the venue. Even with a protective shield, the spectators seated a hundred yards away still felt the chilling weight of power pressing down on them.
"So, this is the fully powered Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman. It's utterly terrifying!" "I thought it was just an explosive move, but I never expected it to have so many variations. No wonder it's the Sacred Wyrm Summit's ultimate move.
"I admit Dustin is strong, but Caleb still overpowered him." They initially thought the Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman was merely a formidable offensive move.
But now they realized it was a devastating technique combining an enchantment circle with a Divine Talisman.
This ultimate move incorporated the strengths of the enchantment circle and the talisman's deadly power. Together, these elements amplified the strike tenfold.
Such a level of assault exceeded a grandmaster's capabilities and reached the ultimate grandmaster's destructive force. Even someone as powerful as Glenn would need to approach it with caution.
"Mr. Hadley, what do you think? You were so confident in Dustin earlier, so what about now?" Alloy asked, smirking.
Even he could sense the overwhelming power emanating from the Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman, underscoring the lethal nature of that move.
"What's the rush? The fight isn't over yet. We still don't know who will win in the end," Cyrus replied coldly. Alloy scoffed. "You really won't quit until you've hit the wall. Even when the. outcis clear, you still cling to your pride. Fine. Let's see how this unfolds." Caleb formed a series of hand seals while guiding the towering golden mountain as it descended toward Dustin on the battle ring.
Trapped in the center of the enchantment circle and bound by golden chains, Dustin had no way to escape. "Surrender now! Otherwise, you'll be crushed to death!" Caleb shouted. He had no desire to kill Dustin, so he reduced the speed of the descending mountain and hoped to give him one final chance to concede.
"You wantto surrender? You should check yourself!" Dustin smiled faintly as his mystical pure energy surged within him. With a crackling sound, the golden chains that bound him exploded one after another.
With a determined step, he disregarded the enchantment circle's restraints and charged straight at the towering golden mountain looming above with his sword.
With each strike, Dustin's Celestial Blade sliced through the mountain effortlessly. The massive structure shattered on impact and sent debris flying in all directions.
Even the trigram formation that served as the foundation of the enchantment circle disintegrated into dust. "How is that possible?" The spectators were stunned by the scene before them.
Caleb stood rooted in shock.
Under the restraint of the enchantment circle, Dustin had shattered the Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman with a single strike. What kind of monster was this guy? Even Alloy, who had been watching with a smirk, sat up straight. His face was frozen in disbelief.

"I'm about to unleash a powerful move. Let's see if you can handle it.” After breaking, through the trigram formation, Bustin suddenly turned around midair and descended from above with his sword aimed at Caleb. The air crackled, and the ground began to tremble. A giant black sword aura materialized in thin air and dropped like a mountain.
Caleb stared at the giant black sword that plummeted toward him. He was rooted to the spot as his mind went blank.
He wanted to counterattack, but an overwhelming sense of helplessness engulfed him as though nothing he could do would stop this cataclysmic blow.
After seeing Dustin effortlessly countered his Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman, Caleb already knew he had lost. "Stop! Sacred Wrym Summit surrender!
Seeing Caleb paralyzed with shock, Oron couldn't hold back and shouted. He leaped into the air and struck Dustin's sword with his palm to stop the impending disaster. He had attained a level where he could manifest the Glow Incantation in physical form, which empowered his palm strike. His mastery of this technique surpassed Caleb's.
energy The collision of sword and palm produced a thunderous explosion. A terrifying wave of energy erupted like a tsunami, and Oron was knocked back over ten yards. The golden light surrounding him flickered intensely, and cracks began to form across its surface. When he landed, he staggered several steps before regaining his footing. His internal energy churned violently, and his arm was numb from the impact.
In contrast, Dustin descended gently and was unaffected by the impact.
The scene left the crowd in shocked disbelief again.

Chapter 2488
"Who the heck is this kid?" Oron glanced at his trembling hands and felt a chill run down his spine. He failed to gain the upper hand in the earlier clash with Dustin and suffered an unexpected setback.
He was already an ultimate grandmaster, with a cultivation and mastery of the Glow Incantation that surpassed Caleb's. By all accounts, subduing a younger opponent should have been a piece of cake.
But that exchange just now had brought him to a stark realization- Dustin had been holding back this whole tand hadn't used his full strength. Otherwise, Caleb wouldn't have lasted this long.
The realization unsettled Oron. There were always extraordinary talents out there, but the potential Dustin had displayed was genuinely terrifying. To put it plainly, he was a beast on the slevel as Glenn.
"What happened? Why did the judge step in?" "Can't you see? Caleb has already lost. If the judge hadn't stepped in, that sword would have killed him or left him severely injured." "Exactly! It would be a pity to see the most talented disciple of Sacred Wyrm Summit die here." "I thought Caleb would win, but Dustin changed the outcwith just one sword strike. It's terrifying." The unexpected turn of events sent the spectators buzzing with chatter.
Whether it was Caleb's Eight Trigrams of Divine Talisman being countered or Oron intervening to stop the match, everything had unfolded in the blink of an eye. The fight was already over when the spectators grasped what had just happened.

"Well, Mr. Marshall. What do you have to say now? You looked pretty smug a moment ago." Cyrus shot Alloy a sidelong glance, and his tone was laced with biting sarcasm.
Alloy's lips twitched as he struggled to cup with a retort. He never expected that Dustin would still be able to draw his sword even with the full power of the Eight Trigrams Divine Talisman unleashed.
Even more surprising was that Dustin broke through the formation and countered the talisman with a single strike, which decisively determined the match's outcome. His potential was beyond anything Alloy had envisioned.
It finally dawned on Alloy why Seth had chosen Dustin as his disciple-he was truly remarkable.
"Sorry. I almost lost control just now," Dustin said, sheating the Celestial Blade.
During his battle with Caleb, he had consistently held back and had no intention of delivering a lethal strike. However, he had to unleash his full strength when it was tto break the formation.
Fortunately, Oron acted decisively and conceded at the right moment. Otherwise, considering Caleb's earlier state, he might not have been able to withstand Dustin's strike.
"I thought we were evenly matched, but I didn't see the difference in our strength until now. I lost, and I accept it without regret." After coming to his senses, Caleb lowered his head toward Dustin respectfully.
Instead of looking defeated, he appeared energized, and his eyes aflwith determination. Although he claimed to be indifferent to fand glory, a deep-rooted pride resided within him.
Caleb had always navigated life easily and tackled every challenge- cultivation, self-discipline, or resilience- without breaking a sweat. Plus, he outperformed every disciple of Sacred Wrym Summit.
While others in the guild spent three years making small strides and a decade to master the Glow Incantation, Caleb managed to perfect it in just six months of laid-back practice.
His progress was equivalent to what those so-called gifted disciples would achieve after ten years of hard work. Since joining the Sacred Wrym Summit, Caleb had never genuinely committed to his training or worked hard. He approached everything half-heartedly, yet his cultivation and mastery of spells outshined those who had worked tirelessly for years.
Everyone called him a genius, and he never argued against it. However, the rapid pace of his progress had its drawbacks. Without experiencing any pressure, he found himself lacking motivation.
To Caleb, the path of cultivation seemed absurdly simple-just eat, drink, sleep, and breakthroughs would follow. With that mindset, he struggled to find the motivation to commit to anything seriously.

But Dustin's earlier attack shook him out of his complacency. Caleb understood he wasn't the only genius in the world and that others were stronger than him.
After the battle, he suddenly found himself with a clear goal and a renewed sense of purpose. The long-dormant fire of passion and ambition reignited within him. From this moment on, he would take his training seriously.
"Congratulations to contestant number five, Dustin Rhys, for winning the match." After calming himself, Oron finally announced the result.
Although Sacred Wrym Summit had lost the match, Caleb's performance left a strong impression on everyone. So, it was far from a disgraceful defeat. What set Caleb apart was that he was the youngest contestant in the tournament.
At only 17, he had already reached the developed grandmaster level, with limitless potential before him. He would surely earn a spot on the Legendary List and even the Champ- Tier List in just a few years.
Amidst the enthusiastic applause, Dustin slowly stepped down from the battle ring.
With the quarterfinals concluded, the tournament moved on to the semifinals, and finals. The four m finalists included Glenn from the Sword Union, Fenley from the Celestial Alliance, Abigail from the Mystic Arts Order, and Dustin. All four were top figures on the Legendary List, and it was no surprise they had made it this far. However, the real battle was about to begin.
After all, they were ultimate grandmasters. At this level, they had reached the peak of the martial world. Regardless of who emerged victorious, they would soon beca legend and a leader for the next generation.

After the quarterfinals, it was tfor a break. With noon approaching, contestants and spectators needed food and water to recharge.
An hour later, the venue was buzzing. with excitement again as Oron stepped onto the battle ring. He was accompanied by a Sacred Wrym Summit disciple, who carried a black box filled with numbered balls.
"It's almost time. I'd like to invite the top four contestants to the ring to draw lots," Oron announced as he surveyed the crowd.
Amidst a wave of enthusiastic applause, four figures ascended the battle ring one after another. First in line was Glenn, with Fenley right behind him, followed by Abigail and Dustin.
"Sir, we're in the semifinals. Good luck! "Abigail winked playfully at Dustin as she stepped into the ring.
"You too," he replied with a smile.
Given Abigail's strength, her odds against Glenn were slim. However, if she faced Fenley, she would have a solid chance at victory.
After all, Fenley had only just broken through to the ultimate grandmaster level. In contrast, Abigail had been at that level for nearly a year.
With her Phoenix bloodline fully awakened, her abilities were at their peak. If she were given a few more years to develop, the possibilities for her future would be limitless.

"Glenn, I hope we're paired together for a decisive showdown." Fenley's gaze was sharp and filled with fighting spirit.
Abigail and Dustin were insignificant in his eyes. Instead, Fenley regarded Glenn as his sole rival. If he could defeat Glenn, the championship title would be within his reach.
"You'd best abandon that thought, or you'll face a crushing defeat," Glenn replied impassively. To him, Fenley wasn't a worthy opponent.
At that instant, Dustin sparked his curiosity. He had learned that Dustin was Seth's disciple. 1 Glenn was also aware of the tension between Seth and the Sword Union. A year ago, he had gone out of his way to challenge Seth, but the outchad been disappointing.
Now that he finally met Seth's disciple, Glenn felt a surge of competitive fire and an urge to test his skills against Dustin. After all, Dustin's recent performances had been impressive. It was something Glenn couldn't afford to overlook.
"Hmph! I know you're strong, but defeatingwon't be easy," Fenley spat coldly. With his ultimate grandmaster skills and the unpredictable Four Elements of God's Technique, he was ready to face any opponent.
He thought, "So what if you topped the Legendary List? Today is the day for a new champion." "You'll see the difference between us soon enough." Glenn's words were clipped and cold. He preferred action over idle chatter. To him, strength would be decided on the battle ring, not through empty words.
"Semifinalists, please draw your lots," Oron announced loudly.
The match-up rules remained the s-the first number against the last.
"I'll go first!" Fenley stepped forward and reached into the black box to pull out a numbered ball.
Unlike before, he didn't hide it this time. Instead, he raised the ball above. his head for everyone to see. He had drawn the number four. After drawing his number, he stepped aside.
Abigail looked around and noticed that neither Dustin nor Glenn stepped forward. So, she walked forward and pulled a ball from the box.
"I got number three." She raised the number ball without hesitation.
Fenley suddenly remarked, "Good thing you're not up against me. At least now you have a chance at the finals." According to the matchup rules, contestant number one would fight contestant number four, while contestant number two would face contestant number three.
"Look who's talking. You're the weakest here, yet you've got the loudest mouth. Do you even know what 'reality check' means?" she shot back sharply.
Dustin and Glenn stood at the top of the Legendary List, while she was ranked second. On the contrary, Fenley ranked fifth.
He was the weakest of the four, yet he dared to be so arrogant. It was shocking how utterly oblivious he was to his own shortcomings.
"Hmph! Short-sighted fool!" Fenley glared at Abigail. Before his breakthrough, he might have felt uncertain about his abilities. But now, with his newfound strength, he was brimming with confidence.
After Abigail finished her turn, Dustin stepped forward to draw from the box. When he saw the number on it, he sighed helplessly.
He had drawn the number two, which meant he would face her in the ring. They were essentially in a mentor- and- student relationship-getting matched against her was far from what Dustin had hoped for.

Dustin had drawn the number two, which left Glenn with the number one. Glenn showed his number, and the spectators buzzed with anticipation.
Contestant number one would take on contestant number four. This meant the opening match in the ring would be Glenn against Fenley.
Both were the favorites to win the tournament. With the first match set to decide the victor, the excitement in the crowd was electric.
"Glenn! Finally, we can face off and determine who's the best." Fenley grinned, and he felt a rush of om Ο adrenaline surge through him. Even before the fight began, he was already fired up. Glenn remained stone-faced. "You're unlucky for having to face me," he said.
"Really? I'd say it's lucky. Once I defeat you, I'll claim the top spot an the Legendary List." Fenley was filled with fighting spirit. "Dream on," Glenn replied coldly.
"Words are useless. Let's settle this in the ring." Fenley's eyes burned with determination.
Seeing the tension between the two, Dustin and Abigail quickly stepped off the battle ring to make room for them.
Now that the opponents had been decided, there was no need for theatrics -only action was awaited.
"Are both contestants ready?" Oron looked at them.
Once they both nodded, he raised his hand and announced, "Semifinam match one Glenn Hadley versus Fenley Hudson. Let the fight begin!"
