An Understated Dominance (Dustin Rhys) Chapter 2351 To 2360

 An Understated Dominance (Dustin Rhys)

Chapter 2351

The following morning, Dustin left his room and went to the villa's garden to appreciate the lush scenery.

He and Grace accepted Alicia's invitation to stay at the villa overnight to ensure the sisters' safety after the recent assassination attempt. Plus, Grace wanted to catch up with Alicia. Thankfully, the rest of the night passed without any disturbances.

Alicia's condition remained stable. She showed no adverse effects due to her good foundation.

Dustin strolled through the garden and noticed the villa's gate opening. A convoy of luxury cars drove in and cto a stop. Then, a group of uniformed Celestial Alliance disciples quickly exited the vehicles.

Unlike the regular disciples, these were the elite enforcement team. They were specially selected for their exceptional skills and loyalty.

The team was seldom deployed as they were reserved exclusively for dire circumstances at the discretion of the guildmaster and the elders. Their appearance always signaled the seriousness of the situation at hand.

Seeing the intimidating team, Dustin quietly stepped aside. He deduced that the failed attempt on Alicia and Aurora's lives the previous night had likely alerted Alloy. So, he dispatched the enforcement team to protect his daughters.

While Dustin wondered about the team leader's identity, he noticed the door of the car in the lead swung open. A sharp- suited young man, radiating authority, emerged. Every member of the enforcement team bowed in deference.

"Huh? It's him?" Dustin raised an eyebrow in surprise.

The young man was Fenley, one of the top talents of the Celestial Alliance and ranked fifth on the Legendary List.

His status was second only to the guildmaster and the elders. Although he was still technically a disciple, he was widely recognized as the guild's future successor.

Before he was 30, he was already halfway to becoming an ultimate grandmaster, towering above his peers. His actions commanded both respect and attention within the Celestial Alliance.

Fenley's prominence wasn't solely a result of his remarkable talent but also stemmed from his unwavering loyalty to the guild and his almost paternal bond with Alloy.

Dustin had faced Fenley in a match before. He acknowledged Fenley's impressive skill. He found his mastery of the Four Elements of God's Technique noteworthy.

"Fenley!" Upon hearing the commotion at the entrance, Alicia and Aurora dashed out joyfully. They rushed toward him and affectionately linked arms with him, each on one side. Their actions starkly contrasted with their treatment of Brian.

"Fenley, what brings you here? Aren't you in seclusion training?" Alicia asked curiously.

"My training has ended. I'm here for the Combat Tournament and because of you two," he replied with a smile.

"Because of us?" Alicia and Aurora exchanged knowing glances. They figured Alloy must've been concerned about their safety, prompting him to dispatch the enforcement team and arrange for Fenley's early arrival.

"I heard about what happened last night. I won't tolerate any threats around you. So, I'll eliminate any dangers and show those with ill intentions what it means to cross our guild," Fenley said calmly, though his words carried a clear sense of menace.

Attempting to assassinate and kidnap Alicia was a direct affront to the Celestial Alliance's dignity. If this weren't thoroughly addressed, their authority would be undermined.

"Don't just stand there. Let's go inside and talk." Alicia and Aurora tugged Fenley's hand and led him toward the villa's living room.

As they passed by Dustin, Alicia stopped and introduced him enthusiastically. "Fenley, letintroduce you to someone remarkable.

"This is Dr. Rhys, the one who savedyesterday. He's a genius in both medicine and martial arts. Plus, he is now our guild consultant."

Aurora chimed in, "Dr. Rhys, this is Fenley Hudson. The The top disciple of our guild! I'm sure you've heard of him." Given Fenley's status as the future successor of the Celestial Alliance, his reputation preceded him. Anyone familiar with the martial world would recognize his name.

"It's an honor to meet you, Sir Hudson, “Dustin said respectfully.

"Dr. Rhys?" Fenley scrutinized him and raised an eyebrow. "You look familiar. Have we met before?"

Chapter 2352

Upon hearing Fenley's words, Alicia and Aurora glanced at him before shifting their gaze to Dustin. Curiosity and confusion etched across their faces as they pondered whether Fenley and Dustin knew each other.

"Sir Hudson, you're quite a notable figure. How could someone likeever cross paths with you? If you think I look familiar, it's likely because I have a common face," Dustin replied calmly, though his heart was racing.

His current appearance was a skillful disguise through Face-Changing Art that made him look different from his usual self.

Upon encountering Fenley, Dustin consciously suppressed his energy waves and ensured no anomalies were revealed. Yet, he didn't expect Fenley to be so perceptive and sensed something amiss with just a glance.

After scrutinizing Dustin, Fenley smiled. “It seems I've mistaken you for someone else. But you're certainly not just anybody. You must possess remarkable talent to garner such acclaim from the Marshall sisters.

"After all, there aren't many in our guild who could match you. I'm sure you'll soon make a nfor yourself with your talents." Despite Dustin's unassuming appearance, Fenley couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to him than met the eye. He had a hunch that the so-called Dr. Rhys was anything but ordinary. "Thank you, Sir Hudson. I look forward to that day," Dustin responded politely.

As they conversed, Brian suddenly emerged from the villa. When he saw the gathering, he paused and frowned upon spotting Fenley.

A hint of resentment flashed in his eyes. But as Fenley glanced his way, Brian quickly masked his emotions and approached with a friendly smile.

"Febley, when did you get here? Why didn't you notifyin advance? I could've set up a proper reception for you." Brian smiled and greeted him warmly.

"Master Alloy sentto deal with the troublemakers targeting our guild," Fenley replied bluntly.

"I've already initiated an investigation about the assassins from last night. We should have sanswers soon, so you don't need to worry." Brian still maintained his smile.

"I'm not worried. I'm simply following Master Alloy's instruction," Fenley said indifferently.

He added, "It seems your handling of matters has been less than satisfactory. Alicia was poisoned and narrowly escaped an assassination attempt under your supervision.

"If it wasn't for Dr. Rhys timely intervention, she could have lost her life. Master Alloy is extremely upset and has taskedwith ensuring their safety." Fenley's words held a tone of accusation. Brian's inability to protect Alicia amounted to negligence. According to the Celestial Alliance regulations, he must be punished.

"I admit my oversight about last night's incident, but I promised there won't be a next time." Brian forced a smile.

As the senior disciple, he felt humiliated after being reprimanded by Fenley openly. Yet, given his status, he had no option but to bear it.

"Brian, your duties here are finished. Return to the guild with the enforcement team and report back to Master Alloy," Fenley said impassively.

Brian frowned. "Fenley, isn't this a bad tforto leave? I've got a lot of stuff to deal with, and I'm slated to represent the guild in the Combat Tournament." "Whatever you're tied up with, set it aside. As for the tournament, leave it to me. You don't need to worry about anything." Fenley stepped aside and gestured for him to get in the car.

Brian's eyes narrowed at the enforcement team ahead as he felt an inexplicable sense of unease. He knew boarding that car now would make his careful planning and scheming pointless. He had invested too much effort to abandon everything at the moment.

"Fenley, are you seriously trying to steal my credit?" Brian asked in an annoyed tone. "We've always had each other's backs. But now, just because I made a minor mistake, you're disregarding our camaraderie and criticizing me. Isn't that a bit too harsh?" "Fenley, regarding last night, Brian truly gave his all. It's not fair to blhim. If we're pointing fingers, it's those cunning enemies who caught us off guard," Alicia quickly interjected upon sensing the tension.

Follow on mediaurdu.blogspot.com

After all, Fenley and Brian were comrades in the guild, so there was no need to let these issues strain their relationship.

"Yeah, Fenley. Brian's been putting in serious effort these past few days and hasn't been slacking off. Can't you just overlook this?" Aurora pleaded.

The accusation of negligence, no matter its magnitude, carried significant consequences. The punishment would be inevitable if Brian returned with the enforcement team to the Celestial Alliance.

Conversely, the outcwould change if Fenley opted for leniency toward Brian.

"Alicia, Aurora, this is Master Alloy's order. I can't do anything about it," ant do Fenley said, shaking his head. "I'll speak with my dad. I assure you that he won't complicate matters for you," Alicia replied.

"This matter is more complicated than you think. Rules exist for a reason. If you slip up, there are consequences, no ifs, ands, or buts." Fenley shook his head again.

"Fenley-" Alicia was about to say more, but he raised his hand to silence her. Then, he turned his gaze to Brian and said coldly, "I'm running out of patience. I'll ask you one last time. Will you enter the car willingly, or must I force you?" His ultimatum carries an undeniable threat.

Fenley's recording captured every word between Brian and Hank, the god of the Hall of Gods, including their elaborate schemes, with remarkable clarity.

Upon hearing that, Alicia and Aurora were stunned as their eyes widened in disbelief.

Brian felt as if he had been hit by lightning, which left him rooted to the spot. He didn't expect his conversation with Hank from the previous night to be recorded.

He briefly entertained the idea that Hank might have betrayed him. But he quickly dismissed it, considering their shared interests and Hank's lack of motive for betrayal.

Brian's expression alternated between worry and panic. Alongside his confusion, he was flooded with alarm. With the proof of his betrayal revealed, he pondered his next course of action. "So, what do you have to say now?" Fenley asked coldly.

Follow on mediaurdu.blogspot.com

Celestial Alliance had been suspecting Brian's unusual behavior and had preemptively installed a bug on him, just in case. It turned out their suspicions were correct when they discovered Brian's collusion with the Hall of Gods-a blatant betrayal toward their guild.

"Brian, I can't believe you setup." Alicia looked at him incredulously. We've practically grown up together and I even treated you like a brother. I don't understand why you'd do such a thing?" "I..." Brian was at a loss for words.

"The guild has shown you nothing but kindness. We offered you special privileges and nurtured you. And yet, you've conspired with outsiders to betray us. You're so ungrateful. I've misjudged you!" Aurora fumed.

While she had suspected a traitor among them, she had never doubted him because of their strong, decade- long bond.

However, the recording earlier had shattered her trust in him. His actions were like the adage, “You may know someone's face, but not their heart." "Brian, return to the guild withand cclean to Master Alloy. If you sincerely confess your mistakes, there's a chance he might show you mercy and spare your life, given our years of friendship," Fenley urged.

"Return to the guild?” Brian's eyes twitched with a momentary gleam of aggression. “After all that has happened, how could I return? Betraying the guild means facing either death or a lifetof guilt and punishment.

"They could stripof everything I've cultivated or sentenceto a lifetof imprisonment. If I return with you, my life will be over." "You're out of options. So, don't forceto take action on you." Fenley's expression was devoid of emotion. As he spoke, internal energy coalesced in his palm. He was ready to subdue Brian if he tried to resist or escape. 'Do you think you can catch me? In your dream!" Brian clenched his teeth. Then, he raised his hand to release a dark, poisonous mist that engulfed Fenley.

"Watch out, Fenley!" Alicia's expression changed.

"Hmph! Stubborn fool!" Fenley said coldly. He didn't dodge but struck with his palm. His powerful internal energy swiftly dispersed the poison mist, and the residual force surged toward Brian.

Suddenly, Brian darted behind Alicia, and his hand gripped her throat. He threatened, "Fenley! Make one move, and I'll kill her." "Huh?" Fenley's expression darkened. He quickly withdrew his hand and shouted, "Let Alicia go. You're only making things worse!" "Let her go? And let myself be killed?" Brian's face contorted with rage.

As he held Alicia captive, he retreated cautiously. "Back off, everyone! If anyone tries to ccloser, I'll take her down with me." The enforcement team was ready to take action but froze in fear upon hearing that. While they might disregard the lives of others, they couldn't overlook Alicia's safety.

"Brian! Have you lost your mind? How dare you hold my sister hostage?" Aurora's anger flared.

Follow on mediaurdu.blogspot.com

"Yes! I've lost it! But it's all because of you!" Brian spat out through gritted teeth. “I've dedicated years of my life to the guild, risking everything, and what do I get in return? Nothing! "Instead, it's Fenley, who joined years after me, that Master Alloy favors and promotes. Everyone showered him with praise. Why? "I'm the senior disciple of the Celestial Alliance. I'm the guild's future guildmaster! I'm the one destined for greatness.

"Why did Fenley get to steal all the spotlight the moment he showed up? I won't stand for it. I refuse to spend my life being overlooked. "If you don't givewhat I deserve, I'll take it myself. I'll fight for it! Even if it means colluding with the Hall of Gods and turning against the guild.

"Because, in the end, it's survival of the fittest. I'll do whatever it takes to achieve my goals. Anyone who tries to stopwill die." Brian's words crescendoed into near- yells as he reached his breaking point. The madness etched on his face deepened.

With his emotions running high, his grip around Alicia's throat tightened. Her face flushed as she struggled to breathe and couldn't utter a word.

"Brian! Calm down! Let's talk this out without hurting Alicia, okay?" Fenley quickly pacified Brian's escalating emotions. He feared Brian might lose control and snap her neck.

Chapter 2355

"What more is there to discuss? Back off! Everyone, just back off!" Brian's voice boomed as he motioned for everyone to retreat.

He decided not to return to the Celestial Alliance and confess his wrongdoing. His sole recourse now was to keep Alicia captive and seek sanctuary at the Hall of Gods.

"Brian, there's no escaping this. Release Alicia and I assure you, I'll find a solution." Fenley's expression grew solemn.

He was confident that he could swiftly defeat Brian in a direct confrontation. However, with Alicia held captive, Fenley hesitated and was reluctant to take the risk. If anything were to happen to Alicia, he'd be the one to blame.

"Brian, it's not too late to repent. Stop making one mistake after another," Alicia pleaded, her voice strained with anguish. “If you stop now and confess willingly, I can plead with my dad to be lenient in his judgment." "Mistakes? Where have I gone wrong?" Brian snarled. “Survival of the fittest is the rule of nature. Everything I've undertaken is for my own future and advancement.

Follow on mediaurdu.blogspot.com

"If anyone is at fault, it's all of you. You all favor Fenley regardless of my efforts. Since you're all so oblivious, I'll ensure you regret it!" "Is your so-called power really worth it? Is it more important than family and friendship?" Alicia frowned.

"Family and friendship? They mean nothing to me!" Brian yelled. “I'll sacrifice anything, even your life, to seize the guildmaster's throne." "Ungrateful bastard!" Aurora seethed with anger. "If it weren't for my dad taking pity on you and giving you shelter when you were starving, you would've been dead in the streets.

"He gave you a second chance at life, treated you as a family, taught you martial arts, and nurtured you. And what did you do? "For your selfish ambitions, you betray our guild, betray him, and even turn against your comrades. Are you even human?" Brian, an orphan, was discovered severely ill and unconscious by Alloy during his travels. He brought Brian hfor treatment.

Alloy eventually took Brian in as a disciple and nurtured him. But nobody expected this so-called disciple to be such an ungrateful bastard.

"Don't you dare lecture me!" Brian roared. "Yes. Alloy did save me, but I've risked my life for him over the years. I've repaid all the debts I owed. Now it's him who owes me, not the other way around!" "You're right. Even if you don't feel indebted to Master Alloy or the guild, what about Alicia?" Fenley asked. "She looked up to you as a brother and respected you. Why would you hurt her now?" "I don't have a choice! You've backedinto a corner." Brian's expression contorted with malice. "If I could leave here, Alicia would be safe. But if any of you dare to stop me, I'll take her down with me!" As he spoke, his emotions intensified, and he seemed determined to drag her down with him.

"Calm down. I'll let you go," Fenley hastily promised after sensing the urgency. "As long as you don't harm her, I can let this matter slide. But I won't let you off the hook if she's in danger." At that moment, his priority shifted from capturing Brian to ensuring Alicia's safety.

"Quit the chatter and step aside!" Brian shouted as he retreated while still holding Alicia hostage.

The enforcement team surrounding him hesitated to advance. They scattered around to prevent provoking him. "You!" He pointed at one of the Celestial Alliance disciples. "Chere and drive the car." The disciple hesitated and glanced uncertainly at Fenley.

"Do as he says." Fenley nodded.

"Okay." The disciple complied and reluctantly stepped forward to act as the driver. Since Fenley had his back, he didn't have to worry about taking the blame.

"Heh... thought you had me, huh? Not today!" Brian laughed triumphantly. When he saw the others keeping their distance, he prepared to hop into the car and leave.

Just as he relaxed his hold on Alicia's throat to get in the car, Fenley sprang into action. He swiftly threw a dart aimed straight for Brian's forehead. If it hit, it could kill him instantly.

Follow on mediaurdu.blogspot.com

Fenley took the risk because he knew that if Brian took her to the Hall of Gods, her fate would be grim.

"How dare you!" Brian exclaimed as the dart sailed through the air. Despite briefly lowering his guard, Brian had kept his eyes on Fenley and didn't overlook his subtle movements. With the dart flying toward him, he couldn't afford a direct hit and promptly dodged sideways.

The speedy dart narrowly missed Brian's ear and blasted a big hole in the wall behind him. Brian's eyes widened in shock, but a surge of anger quickly replaced it. " Fenley! You brought this on yourself!" He gritted his teeth, and his features contorted with rage.

Amid the shocked spectators, he abruptly lunged toward Alicia and struck her head. He intended to bring her down with him.

"No!" Fenley's face paled in terror. However, he was too far away to stop Brian.

Chapter 2356

Just as Alicia was about to be struck down by Brian's deadly palm strike, a silver needle suddenly hit his wrist with precision.

The force of the impact caused him to stagger backward several steps. Then, a wave of excruciating pain surged through his arm. His body trembled uncontrollably and left him momentarily incapacitated.

"Crap!" Brian cursed. He quickly yanked the silver needle out from his wrist, which eased his pain slightly.

"Alicia, run!" Aurora shouted.

Freed from his grasp, Alicia snapped out of her daze and bolted at full speed.

"Where do you think you're going?” Brian, now recovered from the pain, refused to give up.

With a sudden burst of speed, he transformed into a blur and lunged toward her. Even if he was going to die, he was determined to take her down with him.

"Bastard! How dare you!" Fenley's eyes widened in fury upon seeing that. He immediately propelled himself into the air, then delivered a palm strike toward Brian from above.

Follow on mediaurdu.blogspot.com

The air erupted with a thunderous boom. Suddenly, a colossal illusory image materialized behind Fenley. It radiated a commanding presence that set shivers down on everyone's spine.

When he thrust his palm downward, the colossal illusory image mirrored his movement instantaneously. In a flash, the energy surged, and debris scattered.

A golden palm shadow hurtled toward Brian like a projectile. At that moment, Fenley was consumed by a killing instinct.

"Four Elements of God's Technique?" Brian's face paled as the golden palm shadow hurtled toward him. As a Celestial Alliance disciple, he understood the terror of this technique.

Alloy's Four Elements of God's Technique was the skill responsible for propelling the Celestial Alliance to global dominance.

Brian was incredulous that Alloy had passed it down to Fenley. And judging by Fenley's energy, he could tell Fenley had mastered it.

With no tto spare as the golden palm shadow closed in, Brian swiftly channeled his internal energy to form a protective shield. Then, he crossed his arms over his chest and assumed a defensive stance.

A thunderous crash echoed as Fenley's shadow palm slammed solidly into Brian's energy armor. Brian was instantly sent flying like a ragdoll. He was hurtled over 30 feet before crashing into the garden rockery.

Another resounding boom followed as the rock formation shattered from the impact. He continued to skid across the ground for another eight or nine yards before stopping.

Brian's mouth gaped as he coughed a torrent of blood. He lay on the ground and couldn't crawl to his feet. His complexion turned ashen, and his attire was torn to shreds. Blood dripped from his arms, and he looked miserable.

He had always known Fenley was formidable, but he hadn't anticipated the extent of his strength.

After all, Brian was at least one of the top three grandmaster martial artists among the elite disciples of the Celestial Alliance.

Despite not being as skilled as the top-ranked Fenley, Brian hadn't expected such a stark difference between them. It was a sobering realization for him as he finally grasped the extent of his misjudgment.

His meager strength paled in comparison to Fenley's. With just one move, Fenley had inflicted grave injuries upon him, which highlighted the unbridgeable chasm in their strength.

Brian struggled to cto terms with the reality before him. Despite his relentless efforts, he wondered why he remained powerless against Fenley. Rather than closing in on his rival, Brian felt his efforts pushed him further away.

"Surround him!" As Brian collapsed from his injuries, members of the enforcement team swiftly encircled him. Swords were drawn, and their gaze fixed on him. Yet, they refrained from hasty actions.

After all, he was a grandmaster martial artist. They understood the danger he still presented, even in his weakened state. A final, desperate move from him could result in casualties among them.

"Alicia, are you okay?" Aurora breathed a sigh of relief when she saw her sister narrowly escape danger.

"I'm fine, thanks to Fenley." Alicia swallowed nervously, as her composure still rattled from the ordeal. She hadn't anticipated Brian's ruthlessness or expected him to take her down with him.

Once Fenley confirmed Alicia's safety, he approached Brian with a grim expression.

Upon seeing him, the enforcement team parted to let him through.

"Any last words?" Fenley towered over Brian and looked at him Boldly.

"Fenley, I admit my mistake. I know I was wrong. I'll return to the guild with you and plead for forgiveness from Master Alloy. Please, spare my life!" Brian's voice strained as he coughed up blood.

His once arrogant demeanor had now completely softened and devoid of his former arrogance. Yet, he could still sense Fenley's killing intent.

"Before you took Alicia hostage, there was still hope. I would have pleaded with Master Alloy on your behalf based on our guild's solidarity. But now, that opportunity is lost." Fenley's voice remained icy and resolute.

He continued, “You've sealed your fate with your own actions by committing such heinous crimes. Today, you must die." Then, he struck Brian's head with a fatal blow.

A thunderous explosion filled the air as Brian's head erupted like a melon struck by a cannonball.

 An Understated Dominance (Dustin Rhys)

Chapter 2357

Brian was dead.

The enforcement team stood indifferent to the scene before them and showed no sympathy for his fate. His headless body slumped to the ground, and blood started to pool around it.

Brian was the elite disciple of the Celestia Alliance. But his fate was sealed when he colluded with the Hall of Gods and betrayed the guild. He had even tried to harm Alicia.

Given his accumulated crimes, his death was inevitable. Even if Fenley hadn't killed him, the guild would have punished him.

"Brian got what was coming to him.” Aurora grimaced as she looked at his lifeless body and spat on the ground.

She had regarded him as a brother and a decent person. Yet, she never anticipated he would turn out to be such a hypocrite and involved in all sorts of misconduct for his own gain.

Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt

He had even colluded with the Hall of Gods and betrayed the Celestial Alliance. When confronted, he showed no remorse and even tried to hold Alicia hostage.

Aurora believed someone like him deserved to die.

"Who would have thought he'd go astray and end up like this? Human nature is so unpredictable." Alicia sighed with conflicted emotions.

She found Brian's actions appalling. Yet, she was heartbroken seeing him like that since they had grown up together.

"Bundle up Brian's body and bring it back to the guild," Fenley ordered. He looked at the headless body before turning away.

Soon, the enforcement team bundled up Brian's decapitated body and took it away. Even though he was dead, they needed to investigate his crimes and send a clear message to the others.

"Thank goodness you are here, Fenley. Otherwise, Alicia would have died," Aurora said gratefully.

He had saved the day with his remarkable skills by incapacitating Brian with a single blow, thus averting potentially serious consequences.

"I am just doing my duty." Fenley shook his head.

He was disappointed with himself and continued, "Honestly, my mistake had endangered Alicia. I'm relieved that nothing serious has happened. Otherwise, I wouldn't know how to face Godfather." He regretted underestimating Brian's ruthlessness. He thought of persuading Brian to repent but ended up pushing him into a corner.

"Don't blyourself. Nobody anticipated Brian's actions," Alicia comforted him.

"Let's stop talking about him," Fenley said, changing the subject. "By the way, you should thank Dr. Rhys for intervening and saving you. Looks like you owe him another favor." "Dr. Rhys?" Alicia was surprised and turned to Dustin. "Did you saveearlier?" She had only seen Fenley intervene to save her, not Dustin.

"Yes, he did." Feneley nodded with a smile. "When Brian was about to strike you, Dr. Rhys threw the silver needles and aimed at his pressure point. This stopped Brian's attack and gave you a chance to escape." Although Alicia was unaware, Fenley saw everything. His dart had missed Brian, but Dustin's silver needles struck Brian's wrist and disrupted his movement. It allowed Alicia to escape and Fenley to subdue Brian.

So, Fenley knew it wasn't him who rescued Alicia but Dustin.

"It's really nothing. Plus, even if I hadn't stepped in, Sir Hudson could've handled it easily," Dustin replied humbly. As a consultant for the Celestial Alliance, he couldn't stand idly by when Alicia was in danger.

"I can't express how grateful I am for savingagain,” Alicia said. Her appreciation grew as she pieced together the entire situation.

"Celestial Alliance has a lot of rare treasures. How about giving Dr. Rhys a few as a way to show your appreciation? "Grace suggested as she walked over. She had seen everything and felt relieved that Dustin was there to handle the situation.

"Of course, a gift is necessary. But a common treasure wouldn't match Dr. Rhys's stature. We do have Novem Bloomadol. I think it would be perfect for him." Alicia smiled. "Novem Bloomadol?" Grace arched an eyebrow. "Isn't that the legendary top-grade pill crafted from nine rare flowers?" "That's right." Alicia nodded. "It enhances cultivation and strengthens the body. The pill's effectiveness scales with the user's potential. We searched far and wide and found just this one." Novem Bloomadol was a special gift from Alloy to help Alicia reach the level of grandmaster. However, her martial arts skills were average. Since she was nowhere near that level yet, the pill didn't serve its purpose for her.

Alicia decided that giving it to Dustin as a gesture of gratitude would ensure it was put to good use. After all, she owed him a lot and wanted to express her appreciation properly.

Chapter 2358

"Aurora, bringthe Novem Bloomadol," Alicia said with a knowing glance.

Aurora couldn't resist asking, “If you give it to Dr. Rhys, how will you cultivate later?" While others might not know its value, she knew the rarity of the Novem Bloomadol. It was a precious treasure that martial artists could only dream of obtaining to break through to the grandmaster level.

Aurora never expected Alicia to part with it willingly.

"I don't have any use for it anyway. I'm sure Dr. Rhys would put it to good use." Alicia smiled faintly.

The higher one's martial aptitude, the better the effects of the Novem Bloomadol. With Dustin's exceptional talent and cultivation, she knew he would gain far more from it than her.

"Don't just stand there. Go get it," Alicia urged.

Despite her reluctance, Aurora knew that the pill belonged to her sister. She couldn't decide for Alicia, so she simply nodded. Shortly afterward, she returned with an exquisite sandalwood box. "Alicia, are you sure about giving this away?" Aurora asked again.

Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt

"Yes. Stop dawdling. After all, no treasure is worth more than a life-saving favor," Alicia replied casually.

She took the box and handed it to Dustin with a smile. "Dr. Rhys, please accept this as a token of my gratitude." As she spoke, she opened the box to reveal the Novem Bloomadol.

The pill gleamed in vibrant green, transparent, and lustrous as a precious gemstone. Upon opening the box, a fragrant scent filled the air. Everyone took a deep breath, and they instantly felt refreshed.

"No wonder they called it a top-grade pill," Grace complimented. “Even the scent alone is remarkably extraordinary." Novem Bloomadol was exceedingly rare and sought after by many martial artists who would go to great lengths to obtain it. This pill was desired by many but accessible to very few.

Even as the Dragonmarsh princess, Grace found acquiring one was immensely challenging.

"This pill is probably the only one of its kind in the entire martial world. Its value is beyond words," Aurora said reluctantly. She would rather give Dustin ten treasures than part with this single pill.

"Dr. Rhys, what are you waiting for? You should accept such a treasure without hesitation," Grace said, arching an eyebrow.

"Ms. Alicia, I appreciate your generosity," Dustin acknowledged with a rare smile. He looked at the Novem Bloomadol inside the box and instantly pocketed it.

While other treasures didn't appeal to him, this top-grade pill was an exception. It promised a significant cultivation boost, enhanced strength, and unlocking hidden potential.

As a martial artist and alchemist, he valued such a rare and valuable pill. After all, it was difficult to craft. Dustin understood that even with his expertise, crafting one would require loads of rare medicinal herbs, and success was far from guaranteed.

"Okay, now that we've got that out of the way and handled everything else, the Group B match begins today. How about we head to the venue and watch it together?" Aurora suddenly proposed.

The Marshall sisters had already signed up and been selected for Group B. However, due to Alicia's current condition, she couldn't take part. However, she could still join in the fun.

"Dr. Rhys, Faith, what do you think?" Alicia asked.

"I was thinking the same," Grace replied with a smile.

"Fine by me," Dustin agreed, though his eyes remained fixed on the Novem Bloomadol.

"Let's go then!" Aurora exclaimed. She directed the enforcement team to escort them to the Combat Tournament at Sacred Wrym Summit.

Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm

Sacred Wrym Summit's arena was packed as usual.

Unlike Group C, which had eight battle rings, Group B had only two matches held simultaneously. However, this reduction in quantity is offset by a noticeable improvement in the overall tournament quality.

This was because all Group B participants were advanced-level divine martial artists, with several halfway to Becoming grandmasters. Plus, sexceptionally talented individuals often triumphed against stronger opponents. While Group C served as a filtering round, Group B's matches were where the true contenders distinguished themselves.

These martial artists were renowned figures in the martial world. They were either elite disciples of major guilds or seasoned wanderers with rich battle experience.

Those who advanced from Group C to Group B were battle-hardened martial artists, and each commanded respect in their own right.

The tournament on that day was particularly grand. Senior members of major guilds attended in person as they were eager to scout and recruit top talents from Group B.

For them, the tournament was like a recruitment fair. As for the participants, it was an opportunity to make a nfor themselves on a grand stage.

Chapter 2359

esides the battle ring matches, Abigail's gambling business was thriving. She had set up two temporary betting rings to attract more patrons.

One accepted cash, and the other VIP betting ring only accepted rare treasures and valuables. These betting rings catered to different gamblers and ensured everyone's preferences were accommodated.

The spectators becAbigail's prtargets. Her strategy remained unchanged. First, lures the gamblers with small wins. When they grew complacent, Abigail would reclaim everything in one decisive move. Her tactic proved to be effective.

Over the past few days, she had amassed a fortune and emerged as the biggest winner.

Although ssavvy individuals knew her schemes, they refrained from exposing her due to her stature. So, they simply turned a blind eye.

Gamblers would still cling to their hopes even if her schemes were revealed. When they saw others hit the jackpot, this only fueled their urge to try their luck. They were convinced that they could also be among the lucky ones.

The matches were already in progress when Dustin and the others arrived at the arena. The Celestial Alliance's senior members had reserved seats with great views and refreshments highlighting their status.

"Hello, Sir Hudson, Ms. Alicia and Ms. Aurora." Fenley's arrival with his companions caused quite a stir. Everyone from the Celestial Alliance, from senior to ordinary members, respectfully greeted them.

At that moment, Dustin spotted Quincy.

Quincy was momentarily surprised upon seeing him. However, he quickly regained his composure when he noticed Dustin chatting with Fenley and the others.

"It's so lively here. All the major guilds are present. I wonder who will emerge as the champion." Alicia looked around excitedly.

As the guildmaster's daughter, she had always been sheltered and seldom ventured outside. So, sneaking out to register for the Combat Tournament had been a rare act of defiance.

However, her excitement was short-lived as she fell victim to voodoo and slipped into a coma before the tournament even began.

"As long as Fenley makes his move, the championship will be ours," Aurora declared confidently.

Fenley was revered as the most exceptional figure in the Celestial Alliance over the past century, and all the disciples respected him.

His prestige within the guild was second only to Alloy. In Aurora's recollection, Fenley had never been defeated. So, she felt the so-called geniuses of the martial world were insignificant compared to him.

"Aurora, don't get too ahead of yourself." Fenley shook his head and smiled.

He added, "This Combat Tournament at Sacred Wrym Summit has really shaken up the martial world. All the major guilds and top talents are here.

It's set to be a fierce competition where anyone could cout on top." While confident in his own abilities, Fenley wasn't naive. After all, he was only ranked fifth on the Legendary List. He acknowledged several formidable opponents were ahead of him on the list, especially Logan and Glenn, who were tied for first place. They had even reached the Champ-Tier List and were among the top ten strongest in the world.

Fenley didn't have much confidence facing those two. However, he wasn't one to shy away from a challenge either. His seclusion training had significantly boosted his cultivation. He believed he could hold his ground if he were to face Logan and Glenn.

"Fenley, you're so amazing. With your skills, who could possibly compete against you?" Aurora remained confidently supportive.

In her eyes, he was just being modest. She believed that he could easily outshine all other geniuses once he unleashed the Four Elements of God's Technique.

"There's always someone better, no matter how good you are. We can't afford to be complacent," Fenley cautioned himself while imparting wisdom to Aurora.

Fenley reflected on his intense battle with Logan. Despite unleashing the full force of the Four Elements of God's Technique, he gained no advantage.

Then, he realized he wasn't the unrivaled hero he had thought himself to be. There were talents out there who could match or even surpass him.

However, this realization only intensified his resolve. What had once seemed isolating now motivated him to strive for excellence.

The pressure he felt spurred him on in his training. In hindsight, he saw it e.

as a blessing in disguise. Alicia glanced around and suddenly spotted something intriguing. She pointed and exclaimed excitedly," Faith, Aurora, check that out! It looks pretty lively over there!" Following her gesture, they all turned to see two outdoor betting rings set up in the western direction. The betting rings were surrounded by crowds of people whose voices created a bustling and energetic atmosphere.

"Wow, I never expected there would be betting rings here," Aurora exclaimed in surprise.

"Betting rings?" Alicia's eyes lit up with interest. "Let's go take a look!" Without hesitation, Alicia grabbed Grace and Aurora and hurried over.

Chapter 2360

XdwAlicia, who rarely ventured outside, had only heard about betting rings without ever stepping into one. Seeing one today at the tournament was a new experience. With her curious nature, she couldn't resist diving into the excitement.

"She still can't change her reckless personality." Fenley shook his head in exasperation and followed closely behind.

Since the incident involving Brian, Fenley had becthe personal bodyguard for the Marshall sisters. He was constantly vigilant about their safety now.

Abigail, the Grand Sorceress of the Mystic Arts Order, actively promoted her business and shouted enthusiastically, "Con, everyone! Place your bets and pick your favorites! "No risk of getting ripped off here-bet as much as you want, win or lose fair and square! Our reputation speaks for itself!" She oversaw the VIP section where rare treasures could be exchanged for celestial stones used in gambling.

They started by appraising the treasures bettors brought and exchanging them for celestial stones. Bettors then used these stones for their bets. If they lost, that was it. But if they won, they could reclaim their treasures.

"Hey, Sir! Bringing friends along today? Please, have a seat," Abigail greeted warmly. Her keen eyes noticed Dustin and his friends approaching and promptly arranged seats.

Noticing their distinguished attire and demeanor, she figured they were no ordinary guests and deserved the utmost respect as VIP clients.

"Your business is thriving," Dustin remarked with a smile.

In just a few days, what was once a small operation has blossomed into a full-fledged betting ring with separate areas for regular patrons and VIPs. The expansion has been almost tenfold in size since then.

With the Combat Tournament at Sacred Wyrm Summit, it was clear to him that Abigail was the undeniable winner.

Abigail humbly responded, "I'm just trying to keep things going. Managing such a large guild and providing for my members means I have to stay resourceful." "My friends are interested in your betting options. Can you set them up?" Dustin smiled.

"Sure, no problem!" Abigail said cheerfully. "Sir, your friends are my friends, and I'll make sure they have a great time." She snapped her fingers at the female guardian beside her and instructed, " Give these lovely ladies schips so they can enjoy themselves." "Okay," the guardian replied promptly. Then, she distributed 20 celestial stones to Grace, Alicia, and Aurora. Giving away sixty celestial stones all at once was quite a generous gesture, but Abigail was wealthy enough not to worry about it. She believed that what she gave would eventually return to her.

"I hope this isn't too much trouble. We could have gotten our own chips," Alicia said awkwardly. She felt that Abigail's generosity was excessive for a first meeting. Yet, she was unsure how to reciprocate.

"Meeting you is a stroke of fate. It's just a small gift. Enjoy yourselves and consider it a gesture of friendship," Abigail replied cheerfully.

She knew the more chips she handed out, the more likely she would reel in a big fish. Abigail understood this strategy perfectly.

"Well..." Alicia hesitated.

"Ms. Marshall, are you unhappy with the amount? Or do you not want to be friends with me?" Abigail feigned disappointment.

"Of course not." Alicia quickly shook her head.

"Ms. Marshall, this is a kind gesture from Abigail. You should accept it," Dustin encouraged.

"In that case, we won't refuse," Alicia conceded. She realized it was hard to decline such generosity.

"The next round is about to begin. Ladies, take a good look. Which contestant do you think has the best chance of winning?" Abigail asked with a smile.

They turned their attention to the two large battle rings in the center. The battle rings were labeled One and Two, with referees randomly selecting two contestants for each round.

This round featured contestants 5 and 18 in battle ring one and contestants 12 and 34 in battle ring two.

"Huh, it's him?" Dustin's gaze settled on contestant number 12 and raised an eyebrow in surprise.

The contestant turned out to be Miles from the Sword Union. Though his strength didn't quite measure up to Crystal's, he still ranked above average among the competitors in Group B.

Alicia followed Dustin's line of sight and asked curiously, "Do you know him?" "Yes. He's my friend." He nodded.

"How strong is he?" Aurora asked.

i "Among the contestants in Group B, he's pretty decent," Dustin replied.

"If you vouch for him, he must be good. I bet on Number 12,” Alicia said confidently. Then, she took out ten celestial stones and placed her bet on Miles.

too!" Aurora quickly followed her sister's lead and bet with ten celestial stones.

"I'm in too." Grace smiled and joined them.

Dustin frowned when he saw them place their bet on Miles. So, he quickly added, "I only said he's decent, not a guaranteed winner. I won't be responsible if he doesn't win." As a disciple of the Sword Union, Miles was indeed talented among his lower- ranked peers. He was somewhere in the middle-promising but not guaranteed to cout on top.

Dustin wasn't confident that Miles could win.
